David, fuck you.

David’s in Kyrgyzstan, he emails every few months to show us how jealous we should be of him. I am.

No cults, no women of ill repute, no children and no diarrhoea, but yes, we have had the piercing (i had no idea we were so cliched).  i did it to try and prove that i was zany and impulsive and also to see how much it hurt.  As it happened i fainted (holding a glass of water) and felt really stupid for a while.

and i’m still kinda jealous.

It’s a Monday, not any Monday however, for today is the most depressing day of the year. So told by the myriad of scientists paid for by god knows who. Mike, Dave and I foresaw this day as a great excuse to inject some laughter into our lives. Tickets were promptly booked for the Live Harry Hill show at The Latchmere in Clapham Junction. We arrived at about 7, me being late, and ate a good pub dinner. A nice pint was consumed with Dave opting out due to “rowing” and discussions for our Gap year went underway.

The discussion became rather heated and i finally collapsed, compromising on a rather nice tour that would take us through America in a camper van, passing Australia, with them opting to work there and me travelling alone to Vietnam to work for an odd few months. We would then meet up to scour SE Asia and India as a three before returning. I’m sure something will go wrong, being the eternal optimist, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Harry Hill was a tad dissapointing, for me atleast. His jokes took a while to ferment and didn’t deliver the punch i was looking for. That’s not to say it was awful, it just wasn’t amazing. I guess you can’t complain for 6 quid. I guess the anticipation of Al Murrey next week got in the way for my enthusiasm for today. If that dissapoints i think i’m gonna give up on comedy.

My plans for next monday already include, Ronnie Scotts, Al Murrey, GreyHound racing a random party and Pub Quiz. I’m sure half are on the same date or just won’t happen.

I’m organising a surprise party for my friend tomorow, its obviously going to go tits up. I got his bestest friend who is a girl (lucy) to call his mother and see if we could get a party going. She agreed so i frantically called people today to arrange things, i think i invited
to many people though and his mother is gonna have my head on a plate.
They have such a lush house. I’ve tried to bring all his lil social groups together but its harder said than done because some people hate others and don’t wanna come. Hope it’ll be good. I’ll add some pictures.

Well it’s Sunday afternoon and i thought i might as well try update my blog. After spending sometime fiddling with bloGTK i finally got it working so hopefully i’ll update this blog more often. In case you were interested bloGTK is an offline blog editor for gnome, Linux. See you did wanna know.

So the weekend started pretty standard, or Wolsey as some might say. Thought it would be just a quite night in front of the TV watching a good DVD or two, just as i was getting ready for the marathon i got a text. East India? why not, just a quite night eatery with some mates.

After a few quick calls and bad organising we met up at 7, or said we would. Monika and co was late as usual, only a paltry 20min compared to her usual lateness. Of the 16 odd people only 9 turned up but i doubt many of us were expecting more than 9 anyway. Me Dave and Mike quickly shuffled our way to the end of the table shying away from everyone else. Girls on one end, Boys on the other. I’m sure it was just that defencive alpha male instinct we get when meeting new guys at a social gathering. 3 cobras later and the mood was looking up, not as antisocial as before and with a drunken Monika already under the table i was glad i’d come out. Until she hit me that is, although lets face it, a bit of me enjoyed it. Still not to sure why, maybe to many re runs of ichi the killer.

The problem with a drunken Monika is she always gets a tad emotional, and the problem with a drunken me is i’m terribly rude, obnoxious and facetious (sure there are a few more i’ve yet to pinpoint, but one is usually best in knowing their faults) so, much like last time, when she was belting out her troubles i was laughing my head off. If only she’d tell me anything when i’m sober i’m sure i’d be a lil more comforting. I’m sorry.

The curry went down pretty well, with me Dave and Mike shovelling down poppadoms while everyone was watching in dismay. East India’s one of those places where if you come out and you’ve not got a stomach ache its been a good night. Ridiculously cheap with that half price cash only offer. We ended up at Mikes house at 11:50 odd, still quite drunk. With three guys and one girl( me Mike and Dave), a night of debauchery was promising. I’m sure another couple of Cobras and i’d have been up for anything.

I’ve always liked Monika, we’ve been friends for 3 odd years, i’m sure we were closer before but things have waned as time has gone one. Nothings ever happened, not that i’ve wanted it to but watching Dave get intimate with her riled a beast in me. I, quite liking an emotion every now and then (they’re becoming increasingly rare) revelled in hatred for a good few minutes before realising all the qualities i had so liked in her in the past had all but vanished. Just a cheap shell of her former past. I’m thinking Lolita, (to which i’m reading right now) has gotten to my head.
