Fucking strange what people google. The above is a list of what people searched to find my website. Particularly funny is “Korean girlfriend for Steve.” I appear on the second page of results. Was someone looking for me in particular?

Metablogging = Blogging about blogging. The most boring act any blogger can do.

I took a little break from writing anything mainly due to the fact that I had fuck all to say and also to prove to myself that I was writing this for myself and not for anybody that might happen to peruse this site. Just waiting for the readers to die down a little before I started writing again. Somewhere along the way “The Register”, picked up a little entry I wrote and a couple of thousand readers started appearing. Hopefully them and everyone else has fucked off sufficiently so I can write my tedious crap.

Talking to myself is honestly so much more fun.

Went to the library yesterday and sat next to a rather pretty girl. She smelt nice. I have an image of myself subconsciously leaning over for a whiff. After a couple hours I realised she was revising for her GCSE’s. Oh the memories. School boy error, literally. Made some small talk and bumped into her today. She has a thing for Max.

After taking this picture I burnt myself.

The day before that I went to the library with Jeannine and sat in the sun instead. It wasn’t very productive. Hopefully the picture is so small she won’t mind me posting it.

Now to get to the really interesting part of my day.

After a hard days revising I like to come home and stare at a computer screen for a couple of hours. Unwinding to the sound of JS executing and hits ticking.

I have more fun making this website than actually writing in it. Somethings have changed over the last couple of days, including:

When you come to read the articles featured in this year’€™s era-documenting Yearbook, they will be near flawless. You will not have to endure shocking spelling mistakes (‘€œyodeling’€?) or glaring grammatical errors (‘€œThanks Guy’€™s!’€?) or even the odd bit of shameless self-congratulation (‘€œ**** scored a staggering 660 runs in Year 10, a record!’€?). With the disapproving eye of a particularly anally retentive schoolteacher, I carefully edited out such objectionable content. This, I must confess, I did with a certain element of glee, possibly stemming from my childish frustration that my visible input to the Yearbook is essentially limited to the e-equivalent of dotting i’€™s and crossing t’€™s.

Thankfully, Steven’€™s efforts to de-egocentricise his formerly shrine-like website have resulted in both an opportunity for me to have my insignificant opinions publicly aired and to set myself up for criticism, as the kind contributors to our yearbook unwittingly have. Having pondered upon what the hell I could write a column about every week, I have chosen to review films- hopefully of the highbrow/obscure variety- old and new- with the strong possibility of the occasional lowbrow guilty pleasure. Having criticised Steven and tutted at Anthony’€™s rather self-promoting personal introduction, I feel that this has been an extremely egocentric opening gambit. I do hope, over the weeks, to divert attention away from my good self and concentrate wholly upon reviewing some great and some not so great films. Enjoy.

Right, if Steven ‘€˜Gook, look at me I’€™m conceited’€¦’€™ Vu thinks this introduction of new columnists will boost the number of hits on his website he’€™s going to get, then he’€™s probably wrong. If however, he thinks that by enticing us all to write for him he’€™ll have more time to do his own work then I guess, he’€™s right. Although knowing that silly Vietnamese soul (if Tiffin boys are allowed to have one’€¦) of his, no doubt he’€™ll get distracted by putting up more flowers on his website. No Steven, it doesn’€™t show your feminine side, it’€™s just gay. Nice to see you’€™ve reverted to good old sixties wallpaper. Kitsch.

So yes either way, you’€™ve guessed it: I’€™m one of several of these aforementioned new columnists. However, unlike the others it didn’€™t take much to convince me to write for him, for two main reasons:

Writing on this website is more productive (albeit less satisfying) than wanking.

Having a narcissistic ego rivaling Steven’€™s I like nothing better than hearing the sound of my own voice. Or in this case, reading my drivel.

SO kids’€¦ I’€™ll be sticking around for a while so you might as well just sit down and shut up. (Any complaints please send to: The Room on the Left as you leave the stairs, 2nd corridor, 3rd floor.) Anyhoo’€¦ from now on I shall be telling you ALL about’€¦

This week however, I seem to have already doubled my ascribed word count in my personal introduction alone’€¦ so bugger off and come back next week to read about something I may or may not actually have done in or around London town, which you all probably don’€™t care about anyway since like me, you have exams.

It has recently come to my attention that this site is a tad narcissistic. Not only does it contain half a dozen pictures of me but even my signature. To be fair it is MY website and I can have anything I want on it. The website has been up in some shape or form for the last 3 years and contains roughly 3000 pictures, only a dozen odd being of me.

All of the previous designs never contained even a mention of me but I thought it’d be nice to show my face to prove to all that i’m not a 40 year old bloke soliciting girls for some webcam fun. If you’d like to have some webcam fun, do contact me.

In an effort to make this site less ME orientated i’ll be introducing several columnists over the coming weeks. Maybe then i’ll start revising.

Mike’s kindly offered to write some short pieces on London life every week, much like Richard does with Music. If anybody else wants a slot, do ask.

I think i’ve completed a nice Journal redesign, something i’ll try not to touch for a while. I think it gives the Journal a nice homely feel and although some have commented on its campness I feel it just reflects my feminine side. It’s nice knowing that no other site looks like mine.

The LibDems take a strong stand against tax cuts and a strong one in favour of public services: they would make long-term residential care for the elderly free across the UK, and scrap university tuition fees. They are in favour of a ban on smoking in public places, but would relax laws on cannabis. They propose to change vehicle taxation to be based on usage rather than ownership.
